      I don’t night latch anything myself, but a lot of trappers will night latch to take out any guess work of knowing the dog will fire the same way everytime. It will also give you a click. On foot holds traps night latching will normally mean the trap is more on a hair trigger, maybe the gentelman in the video thought the Grizz needed to fire faster.
