Some times you very get the coyote to be so aggressive that you will need to pull traps back a little bit. They can totally wreck you set with a crazy amount of rage.  The reason again for the rage and almost panic to get to this lure goes back to the way THE HAMMER fires up the nervous system. Let me ask you a question? Do you want to go after a level headed crafty coyote or one that is loopy and a little high. Me too, I want to have everything in my favor when I go to battle with an old coyote war dog.

I learned a valuable lesson when I was in the Airborne Infantry. Never ever fight fair or on a equal battle field. THE HAMMER is not fair, but exciting to use.

Use with or without bait in dirt hole sets. Most all coyote sets need bait to be hitting on all eight cylinders. Sometimes it is good to not use bait for a change up.

Great on flat sets and post type sets. Please note that if you miss the coyote, he may run off with your flat set toy or attractant.  It shines with small bone flat set, you push some wool or cotton into a crack or hole in objects, put a little of THE HAMMER on it and hold on!

How much lure do you use at a coyote, bobcat or fox set, how long does lure last, a warning about using THE HAMMER.

Don't make the mistake of thinking more lure makes it better. Really good lures like THE HAMMER are very strong and more lure does not help you. If you add to much, it will take several days for the set to cool off and not burn the nose of a predator. Paste type lures normally are used in a pinto beans size portion at a set. As a lure maker myself, I will sell more product if you over use my lures. It is more important for me to see you have a blast catching fur, not waiting for sets to cool down because you have used too much lure. Since THE HAMMER is a liquid, you just need a small splash, not a half oz or something like that. Really all you need of a good liquid lure is about what you can hold on the tip of a Q TIP. That is not a lot. Lures are not baits, they are more concentrated. You may use a oz of fish oil, but that is too much volume for a quality lure.

If you find that it is taking too long for your traps starts producing, like 5 to 7 days. You are probably using too much lure at one set. Cut the volume of lure you are using by half.

NOW THE WARNING OF USING THE HAMMER.

The HAMMER last a long time at a trap set. How long you may be asking? We are getting trappers telling us that sets they put in early fall are still getting dug up as late as May to June.   That is 6 months later. I told you this was a strong and long lasting coyote lure. So, why does this matter to you besides knowing THE HAMMER last a long time. One, if you are moving from property to new property or a different state, no worries. Two, if you are trapping the same locations year after year, protect your catch from year to year. OK, here is the deal, you need to use wool or cotton or some kind of a lure holder, so you can take THE HAMMER with you. Since THE HAMMER last so long at a trap set. The reason you want to do this is so predators don't get used to smelling this lure for 6 months of more a year. You never want a lure to become common to a coyote or any animal for that matter. You want to be able to use THE HAMMER the next year and get the results you got the year before.
